NAJA Development Policy Document


Development in Natal under NAJA has to meet the following criteria:
 
  • Must be natural born South African or South African citizen
  • Must be between the ages of 6 -19 years
  • Must comply to all JSA and NAJA rules as set out in their Development Document
  • For potential members who are not able to afford to pay the required JSA and NAJA membership fees, irrespective of race
  • MUST NOT be employed or earning an income of any form to be eligible
  • To be a Development Player for a maximum of three (3) years only
Procedure for Application
 
  • Applications on the prescribed form and format (all details must be completed) must be submitted under cover of a club letterhead signed by the club chairperson. The club chairperson must confirm:
i)                    The authenticity of the applications and
ii)                  That the club committee recommends the acceptance of the applications.
 
  • The applications and covering letter must be sent to the NAJA Development Officer, who will
i)                    Assess each application on merit
ii)                  Advise the Provincial Administrators of the outcome; and
  • Forward the required information of the accepted applications to the JSA National Registrar by electronic mail.
  • The NAJA Development Officer will maintain and control a NAJA Development Membership Register, wherein he/she will keep a record of the details contained in the applications that he/she receives, accepts and rejects.
  • Development subsidy to expire after applicant completes his 19th birthday or on receiving an income of any form.
  • Successful members will enjoy the same benefits as the NAJA full members except that Development NAJA Membership will not count for the formation of a Club under the auspices of NAJA and JSA.
